Warmer Waters Threaten Alaska's Oyster Industry

Day to Day, June 19, 2006 · A temperature rise in the once-frigid waters of Alaska is having a significant effect on the state's oyster industry. Vibrio, a bacteria common in warmer waters, is showing up in the region. And that's changing the quality and safety of the shellfish. Ashley Gross of the Alaska Public Radio Network reports.
